We will accomplish this by:
- Helping those God brings to us discover new life in Jesus.
- Encouraging one another to grow in godly knowledge, love and obedience.
- Training believers to join God in His Work.
- Nurturing the growth of Christ's church in our world.
We believe in one God, Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is unchanging, all powerful, all knowing, everywhere present, perfect in love, justice and mercy.
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness and infinite in wisdom. We rejoice that he concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of people, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and eternal death all who come to him through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son from eternity. He is fully God and wholly human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, he was born of a virgin. As a man, he was tempted as we are yet remained sinless in his life and did only what the Father willed. Jesus alone made atonement for the sins of the world by his sacrifice on the cross. We believe in his bodily resurrection, his ascension into heaven, his perpetual intercession for his people, and his pre-millennial, visible return to the world according to his promise.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of guilt in regard to sin, righteousness and judgment. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, brings a new way of life, transforms us into the image of Christ and comforts us daily.
We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible Word of God, authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe salvation is available to all people, who are alienated and hostile to God and are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God intends. While we are useless to him, God shows mercy and provides salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone. Those who reject Jesus are eternally separated from God. Salvation reconciles us to God and allows us to enjoy everlasting life with him.
We believe the true church is the spiritual body of Christ comprised of all people regenerated by the Holy Spirit with Jesus Christ as the head. Each believer has direct access to God. The church expresses itself in local assemblies whose members confess faith in Christ, have been baptized and associate themselves for worship, instruction, encouragement, evangelism and service. The Holy Spirit gives all spiritual gifts to the church as he wills for the edification of believers. Jesus Christ commissions the church to proclaim the gospel to all people.
We believe the ordinances of the local church are believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We practice baptism by immersion. We practice open Communion of believers in Jesus Christ. Local church bodies are autonomous and responsible to God in governance. Yet, we believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to each other in love.
We believe Jesus will return visibly at the end of the age for his church according to his promise. We await the return of the Lord Jesus Christ who will establish a new heaven and new earth.
